Strong lines, sporty and built for speed: the lightweight 48ft aluminum explorer sailing yacht Tipsy Tuna. This go-anywhere yacht has a minimum draft (keel up) of just 1.3 metres and is ideal for exploring remote coast lines as well deep ocean passages.
Tipsy Tuna is fully designed according to the owner’s requirements by Naval Architect Guy Ribadeau-Dumas – a 100% custom-built sailing yacht. With comfort and sailing performance as main characteristics, Guy Dumas has perfectly succeeded in translating all this into a unique and a one of a kind sailing yacht.
The solid aluminum hull was built by Habekké shipyard in Volendam. The project management, interior and exterior were executed by Hutting Yachts. The rigging and carbon mast were supplied by Axon.
The yacht was designed with global cruising in mind. It’s interior design combines light oak and white leather upholstery with dark countertops in contrast, and lends itself to warmer climates. Designed for long term cruising comfort, both spacious double berths have their own bathroom. There are comforts such as air conditioning throughout the yacht as well as washing machine, fridge freezer, electric cooker and spacious engine room and work bench. Combine this with multiple storage capacity down below deck, starboard and port lazarettes with waterproof aluminum hatches, enabling storage of outboards and life rafts, it enables the owner to spend many comfortable months at sea.
Tipsy Tuna; with its unique logo means you can’t miss it ! She will start hey voyaging life from July 2019 sailing in Thai coastal waters, before exploring what the rest of the world has to offer.
